About Us

    Stillmeadow Ranch is located in Turin NY at the base of the beautiful Tug Hill Plateau overlooking the Adirondacks. Here at the ranch, we offer Guided Horseback Trail Rides, horse boarding, horse training, and horseback riding lessons. Everyone here has  many years experience with horses.

GUIDED HORSEBACK TRAIL RIDES:

    Our Guided horseback trail rides consist of an hour on horseback, riding through scenic meadows and peaceful woods. Our horses are all calm, easy going and relaxed. If you don't have any horseback riding experience, don't sweat it. No riding experience is needed. Before every ride we do a basic mini lesson and also give you time to ride around the arena a while to get you get familar and comfortable with your horse. On the ride you will cross creeks, ride through beautiful wildflower meadows , and pass through  the woodlands of tug hill , full of wildlife.  All in all you will be on horseback over an hour.

     Please call ahead to make reservations.  All ages are welcome ,however our age limit for kids is 6 years old. Trail riding is a wonderful experience for anyone.

    Horseback Guided Trail Ride Price is $35.00 per person per hour.     

    Longer horseback trail rides can be arranged. Contact us for more information about that.

Lessons & Training:

    We offer horseback riding lessons from beginner to advanced riding techniques. We believe that horseback riding should be a complete experience involving all the aspects of caring for and learning about horses. Students are taught to work with and care for thier horse. Horseback riding lessons include all of this, from grooming to saddling as well as riding.  We offer both english and western riding lessons. With our english lessons we do only on the ground work, no jumping. With western we offer everything from ground work to specific western disciplines.

             Horseback Riding Lesson Prices start at $35.00 per lesson per hour.            

    We do horse training also from colt breaking to finishing for the show arena. Stephanie who does most of our horse training and  riding lessons has  many years experience with horses from backyard to the show ring. She does both english and western horse training. We offer basic english pleasure training, and with western we do showmanship, pleasure, trail, western riding patterns and techniques, reining, barrel racing, and all around. Prices very depending on the amount of work  needed, and the amount of time you wish to have on your horse. We also ensure that your horse will bath, clip, handle, and trailer easily as well. Our goal is for you to have a horse that is a pleasure to handle and ride.

    Horse Boarding:

    We offer year round horse boarding with turn out available. Our stalls are 14' by 14'. We feed twice daily, and feed your horse according to your instruction. Horse Boarding prices very depending.

KRISTIN BRYANT: 

     Kristin has  a lifetime of  experience working with horses. They're the loves of her life and her passion. She has done it all from showing, breeding, training, and so on. Nowdays Kristin enjoys horseback trail riding and giving horseback riding lessons. She is also a clothing and graphics designer for the equine industry.

ANDY SCHOLL:

    Andy has  lots of years under his belt working with horses. He has managed and guided horseback trail rides at several dude ranches in New York State. Andy loves the outdoors,horses and trail riding. He is our top guide here at the ranch.  

STEPHANIE ST.LOUIS:

    Stephanie is Kristy's daughter and has spent her whole life with horses. She has made horses her life. Stephanie attended The University of Findlay in Findlay OH for western Equine Training and Equine Business Management. She does most  of our horse training and horseback riding lessons here.
